i tried to talk about current events and my dad said that my news sources are biased, all while watching fox news. i know he doesn’t take it seriously, but the fact that it’s on at all is iffy.
but really, i read bbc, npr, nhk, and al-jazeera. i’m not sure where i am supposed to go other than that. but apparently these four new sources aren’t enough, npr is funded by the government therefore biased, and who even knows about the others. it’s like he just wants to tell me i’m wrong, no matter how much i read up on the matter.
please don’t talk to me about biased news when watching fox. that shit is fairytale nonsense, spewed by fear-mongering white people who get paid too much to care that they are lying to EVERYONE.
ADDITION: my dad isn’t mean, he’s just sort of a dick when it comes to politics. the whole “you’ll know when you’re older” stuff, except he doesn’t really seem to listen to anything i say to begin with so i’m not sure what a few more years will do to that. -
